About the Speakers
Dr Nigel Colbert
Consultant Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr Colbert is a Consultant Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychologist with over 10 years’ medico-legal experience. He holds the prestigious Qualification in Neuropsychology (QiCN) and appears in the British Psychological Society’s Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. He specialises in the post-accident assessment and rehabilitation of children and young adults with acquired or developmental brain injury, drawing on cognitive-behavioural and EMDR frameworks. His clinical interests include post-trauma syndrome, depression, anxiety, and stress following neurological insult. In medico-legal practice, Dr Colbert undertakes both claimant and defendant instructions across screening, breach of duty, causation, and condition & prognosis reports. He is Bond Solon/Cardiff University accredited, with expertise frequently instructed in high-value clinical negligence and personal injury claims involving paediatric brain injury, birth injury, and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes.
