Delivered Three Days Early: When Speed Matters Most

Facing a 3-day deadline and no exam, INNEG delivered a glioblastoma prognosis report early - speed doesn’t mean compromise.
When tribunal deadlines loom, every day matters. In a recent disability discrimination case, a solicitor acting for the defendant needed an urgent expert report on a claimant recently diagnosed with glioblastoma - an aggressive form of brain cancer. The report had to be authoritative, defensible, and, crucially, fast.
Despite the challenges - no physical examination, complex prognosis, and a tight turnaround - INNEG returned the completed report three working days before the deadline.
The claimant, a professional in full-time employment, had experienced a seizure at work in April 2024 and was later diagnosed with glioblastoma. Following surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, he was briefly declared cancer-free - only for the tumour to return within months. By early 2025, his prognosis had worsened considerably.
The defendant’s solicitor needed a Condition and Prognosis Report to guide tribunal proceedings, assessing both life expectancy and the likelihood of a return to cognitively demanding work. The matter was sensitive and time-critical: the tribunal required the completed report by Wednesday, 20 August.
Time constraints meant there was no margin for delay. The solicitor specifically requested one of INNEG’s senior neuro-oncology experts - a recognised authority who was about to leave for annual leave.
The INNEG team immediately coordinated with the expert, secured agreement, and ensured every document was ready for review the same day. Thanks to that rapid mobilisation, the expert was able to complete a thorough analysis of the medical records and deliver a clear, evidence-based opinion - all without a clinical examination.
The report was finalised and returned on Friday, 15 August - a full three working days before the deadline.
That early delivery gave the solicitor valuable time to review the findings, prepare responses, and proceed to tribunal with confidence, free from the usual last-minute stress that accompanies tight medico-legal schedules.
By anticipating logistical barriers, coordinating seamlessly with expert schedules, and maintaining constant communication with instructing solicitors, INNEG ensured the process never slipped - even in a case without examination and with limited availability.
