Stephen Pollard MA, MS, MB, BS, BSc, FRCS

Consultant Surgeon

Mr Stephen Pollard MA, MS, MB BS, BSc, FRCS, was appointed Consultant Surgeon in 1993. His specialist interests include adult liver and kidney transplantation and bariatric surgery. After a fact-finding visit to Richmond, Virginia, in 1994, he established one of the UK’s first multi-disciplinary bariatric teams and was a founding member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS). Working alongside Peter Lodge, he helped perform some of the world’s first intestinal and multivisceral transplants.
